Frederick Leo “Rick” Bateman, Jr.
Rick Bateman is admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. His practice has a particular focus on insurance and contract issues, real estate/development law, commercial litigation, and federal civil trial jurisprudence. Mr. Bateman also has extensive experience representing businesses before various local and state agencies and in administrative proceedings.
Mr. Bateman’s J. D. degree was conferred in 1983 by the University of Florida. He received his bachelor’s of arts degree from Davidson College in 1980.
A member of The Florida Bar, The State Bar of Georgia, and The State Bar of Texas, Mr. Bateman is also a member of the American Bar Association, the American Trial Attorneys Association, and the Tallahassee Bar Association.
Mr. Bateman is admitted to practice before the U. S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, before all U. S. District Courts in Florida, Georgia and Texas.
Rick Bateman is generous in his philanthropy and community service. He has sponsored numerous charity events and promotional billboards throughout Leon County for Boys & Girls Clubs, The Alzheimer’s Project, Special Olympics, and the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.
Mr. Bateman’s wide-ranging community involvement includes service as a member of the Executive Committees of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council of Leon County. He has served on the board of Special Olympics and maintains Golden Chief status with the FSU Seminole Boosters.
